When I start a then on my desktop a semi-transparent window appears which list all current s.

How do I suppress this window (permanently) ?

Right click FDM icon (blue arrow & disk) in system tray, uncheck drop box?

That's not it. He said semi transparent and the drop box isn't that. It's the Show s info while in progress option.

sorry, the drop box is transparent, but it doesn't come up only when you , the info window does.

Well, simply View -> uncheck s Info, should do the trick, at last it did for me.
