FDM 2.5 Exported Settings not being Imported by FDM 2.5 5jt3a
I have just recently got my new PC, a 64 bit dual core AMD(
) running XP home (32 bit) with a single drive.
I installed FDM from the website and then took the settings file I exported from my old main PC, a 2 drive system, to the new one. It won't take the imported file in any shape or form.
I have tried multiple uninstall/reinstalls of FDM 2.5.
I have tried multiple imports of the .reg file.
I have tried making new coppies of the .reg file and transfering them.
I even tried uninstalling all of my browsers except IE and then reinstalling them then repeated the things I have just listed above.
Nothing works
I subscribe to somewhere around 25 30 diffrent podcasts, each of which I have given theirown group for that leads to several diffrent places on my computer that is organized like I am suffering from OCD. I REALLY don't want to spend the time resseting all of my settings AND rebuilding my list of groups which are longer than my monitor can display at one time.
please... help!

Update: Some settings did import, but Groups Didn't 3r5n48
Having used the same settings for quite a while now and then export the settings, then import them back, that I missed that some of the settings transfered, but less than usual.
Most important to me is the Long list of groups which I have set up. I underestimated it before and the total is 46 just for my podcast s!
I don't want to roll back to the previous version, but if I can't export my list

Checked Registry 1y493b
I hunted through the registry to find out if the settings to if they were imported and everything was including the groups were there, but FDM just is refusing to use them. I compaired the list of keys to the one on my original computer I am migrating my settings from. They match and are all there.
Am I the only one having these problems???

Groups are not stored in registry since FDM 2.3.

That is strange since the exported file that is putting the groups in the registry was made (and remade incase it was the problem) has put all my groups in the registry of the new computer, and the file is made with FDM 2.5 and the update says I have the latest version.
If you want I can send you the exported registry keys FDM 2.5 made.
Also, according to the about section of my original install on the old computer, I am using build 700.
Assuming that it is just a piece of legacy or a mistake leftover from 2.3 but not used, or some such thing, how do I transfer my groups? Where are they stored? Can I transfer them?

I was showing my last post to a friend when he pointed out something I missed when I read the posting info, that build 700 is not the latest stable build. I read that but the build numbers being so close I didn't notice so I reread the posting and saw the part about the update would read as latest build, which at the time I thought was refering to going from 2.3 to 2.5.
I will install the latest build and get back.
I am sorry for the inconvienience and hope that I didn't cause too much trouble because I misread and misunderstood the posting instructions.

Ok, I updated to the build 716 and exported the settings. It fixed my problem with a couple of the settings, but it still didn't import any of the groups from the updated version to the one on my new computer (it was already build 716).
dou I have to back up and transfer the groups manually now? If so how do I do it.
Thanks
