Have you really installed FDM 3.9.5 build 1537 with plugin version 1.7.3.1? Have you read the FDM FAQ about Firefox troubleshooting?

What can be done about it?

All you need is to:
- read more carefully all you quoted;
- follow the suggestions.

Turn on flash video monitoring and flvsniff.dll will be ed. It's a workaround for problems with Google Chrome.

Note that Firefox plugin is updated, but install.rdf file IS NOT - version number is still 1.3.7.1 and maxVersion for Firefox is still 38.*.

It seems that flvsniff 1.0.1052 completely blocks both Firefox and Internet Explorer in Windows XP when flash video monitorng is turned on.

We've just updated video sniffer module. It should work under Windows XP without problems now.
Please check it.
Note, that you'll have to update it manually.

It doesn't work. Builds 1035 and 1040 of flvsniff.dll work OK, builds 1052 and 1054 block connections in a browser.

This build seems to work OK. I'll do more tests and report results later.

It seems that the 1542 build has finaly fixed the crash of IE on its exit, which I've reported few weeks back.
