How to replace Firefox internal manager by FDM? 365b1f
Currently all s with Firefox are handled by its internal manager.
How can I tell Firefox NOT use this but FDM instead?
Yes, in FDM I enabled monitoring Firefox for s but it doesn't work.
I am using newest FDM lite version on FF 9.x with 64bit Win7

The best way to do it is install the Firefox extension 'FlashGot' and have FlashGot intercept all s and direct them to FDM. (in FlashGot options)

You should close Firefox before turning on monitoring in FDM. It works, if programs are installed in standard locations. Now you can try to do it again as follows:thoste wrote:Currently all s with Firefox are handled by its internal manager.

- close Firefox;
- turn off monitoring in FDM;
- run Firefox, make sure you have no FDM add-on in Firefox extensions and close Firefox again;
- turn on Firefox monitoring in FDM.
Name your numbers for FDM lite version and FDM add-on for Firefox version.thoste wrote:I am using newest FDM lite version on FF 9.x with 64bit Win7
Make sure you have "[email protected]" file:
- Located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions" subdirectory or in your Firefox profile (for example in "C:\s\conbon\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\r9mkn762.default\extensions" subdirectory). You should change folder options to see hidden or system files and folders before.
- Containing path to FDM add-on for Firefox (for Windows x64 its standard location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Free Manager\Firefox\Extension")
Fix location and path if it's needed.
If you still have problems, turn on Firefox monitoring in FDM, run Frefox and install its "Add-on Compatibility Reporter" extension, close Firefox and turn on monitoring again.
If it still doesn't work, you should try Firefox with all extensions disabled except FDM add-on.
And read other topics about Firefox compatibility, please.
