FDM not working in IE11 since update from MS 12AUG2014 i1tw

windws version 7 64 bit and using the internet explorer.

FDM 3.94 and tried version 5 and nothing so went back to 3.94

The same problem with me. I'm using FDM 3.9.4 (build 1472) on Windows 7 (64 Bit) with IE11. FDM doesn't work anymore in Internet Explorer 11 since the last Microsft Patchday on August 12, 2014. With Firefox Browser everything is normal.

Confirming James' experience. Exact same config. Tried a reboot. Tried a reload. No success with IE11.

I have the same problem with FDM 3.94 and Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 32 bit.

Like others FDM also not working since Microsoft update 13 August. I did a system restore back to before the update and FDM worked and them reinstalled the Microsoft updates and FDM no longer works. Using FDM version 3.92 build 1294. IE 11 Window 7 Home 32 bit. Help please.

Same problem here too. After updating, IE doesn't seem to know that FDM exists.

also problems on windows 8.1 update date 13.08.2014. 8 updates.
All killed and FDM working again. I've had the good idea to
update to office 2013 on same day and was thinking that was the problem.
Nope. The system gone also very slow..

Now without update normal speed on system, normal FDM and office also working.


Note tried with other er didn't work either...

Conclusion Redmond making big cheese again.

Did any other posters on here uninstalled FDM after the MS Aug 12 update and then reinstalled it to see what happens if it works or not? I have the lasted Aug 12 update and FDM release and will test to see if that is the problem but we will also need to know what site your trying to from to where the problem is starting from? Just saying FDM isn't ing after Aug 12 MS update doesn't get specific enough to narrow down the problem.

It doesn't matter what site people are trying to from, I strongly believe.

In my case FDM doesn't donwload anything anymore in IE11, no matter where and what! Just to give you one example. Try to something from filehippo

Like another said: It seems like if FDM doesn't excist anymore for IE.

re-install FDM yes uninstall before no.
The sites (tested 2) were working properly before updade
and after uninstall ms update.

using IE11 and ed.to as er.

during non working time FDM did not open automaticaly
manualy neither, copy link and entering did not work
same problems with other software, and as i told
my windows was f..slow.

ed.to and other file hosting services are NOT the best sites to test . You should first test regular http or ftp from any site that provides direct links without logging-in, redirections, click buttons or any other bells-and-whistles.
