FDM doesn't start torrents 323j3n
Hi guys,
Problem: When double click to any .torrent file, FDM main window opens but new window doesn't appear. I tried to press "Add torrent from file" button in the Torrents tab and select any .torrent file, nothing happens either. Normal feature is working fine.
Action: I tried to uninstall and re-install FDM, didn't work. I made no changes in any settings of FDM, I didn't install a new program to my computer or didn't change any network settings of my pc since last use of FDM torrent feature with no problem.
Intel i7 4600U
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 Enterprise x64
FDM v3.9.6 Build 1614

You should
- close your browser and FDM;
- run FDM as , go to FDM options, (re-)enable your browser monitoring, (re-)enable association with torrent files and magnet links then close FDM;
- restart FDM as a normal , open your browser and check if it works OK with torrents and FDM now.
If you still have problems you should your corporate . Windows Enterprise OS is supposed to be installed in a corporate environment and may be blocked by corporate security policy.

Re: FDM doesn't start torrents 6s2b39
Hi Usher,
I tried what you want me to do but it didn't work.
- Anyway, there is no problem with .torrent file association because when you double click to a torrent file, FDM opens but new window doesn't open. That's the problem.
- Yes you are right about Enterprise version of Windows but I don't think the problem is related with this. Because I used so many times FDMs torrent feature with no problem until quite recently. If there is a security policy about torrents I couldn't any torrents from the beginning right? Besides, as I mentioned above, the problem is not to opening of FDMs new window. If there was a security policy about torrents, torrent files could be added to FDM but didn't get started, right? In other words, there would be a connection problem with torrents.
- The problem is not related with browser monitoring (I called it as "normal feature"
). Browser monitoring is working fine.
But there is a strange behaviour of FDM when a .torrent file. When I click a .torrent file link (for example http://www.torrenthound.com/torrent/4d902cfc9bb3d1f6239e220154b5135d44da8c4a), FDM s a file with no file extension named "4d902cfc9bb3d1f6239e220154b5135d44da8c4a". If I press cancel of FDM new window, as a feature of FDM that I really love, browser (here Chrome) makes the . But Chrome s the file as "Regular+Show+Season+5+Eps+1-14+720p+WEB-DL+x264.torrent".
I love FDM and I don't want to use any external torrent client to torrents. Help me
Edit: I have just tried FDM 3.9.7 RC but nothing changes.

OK, we'll look into that.
About this offtopic:
Chrome adds ".torrent" extension to these 0 bytes, which makes no sense at all.

Just tried this link. FDM s 0 bytes. So does Chrome, even if I disable FDM extension in Chrome and other torrents from that site.abdullahmk wrote: But there is a strange behaviour of FDM when a .torrent file. What the heck?! You are right!
I always use the web site torrenthound.com to .torrent files. I had never thought that the problem might be in the torrent files ed from a specific web site !@?&X
Hah. I have just torrent file from another web site and problem solved!
Thank you Yessa.

Re: FDM doesn't start torrents 6s2b39
Actually, FDM lacks some error message, so thanks for the report.
Re: FDM doesn't start torrents 6s2b39
In some cases of misconfigured servers FDM gzipped files, but this is not that case, as you already know.abdullahmk wrote:FDM s a file with no file extension named "4d902cfc9bb3d1f6239e220154b5135d44da8c4a".
It seems to be another case of stupid protection described here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17308abdullahmk wrote:If I press cancel of FDM new window, as a feature of FDM that I really love, browser (here Chrome) makes the .
