fumoei in FDM 6d1a33
I ed FDM yesterday and when I booted my computer this morning my spyware detector found an invader called "fumoei". I Googled "fumoei" and found it to be malicious. The spyware was in a file called "FUM" in Free Manager. What gives?

It's a badly chosen name by the fdm dev. Check with another anti-virus. Avira and AVG don't say anything bad. It's probably just the filename that makes your anti-spyware "suspicious". The spyware in question has the same name as the free manager.

This is the part of integration with Outlook Express.
You can disable it in options.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still having a hard time trusting FUM. I'll see how it goes. Otherwise, I'm very happy with FDM. I ed the new Windows Medio Player 11 (love it) and all went very smooth. I live in the back woods with no DSL and s take FOREVER. I was using DAP but it would send certain s to limbo while asking me to buy their Anti Virus software to scan it. I'm happy with Kasperski. I'll let you know how things go. So far so good!

FDM is opensource, so you can check the source code and see. Why should there be any malicious stuff in FDM? So ppl can sue the devs to death? USE YOUR BRAIN ONCE IN A WHILE...

No1-post. To people to use their brains...
If one has NO experience with this, just be patient and not a geek.
@Tetjinen:
Read what Alex and the others wrote. It has nothing to do with the bittorrent-plugin, but the Outlook- or -device. Who knows?!
