How about a speed graph like that of Fresh. Its often good to see if the speed is dropping of regularly or if you are maintaining a pretty constant rate.

For the time being you can use a seperate program like Lanspeed (http://httpd.chello.nl/~m.vanosta/orcasoft/index.htm). There are installers but also a non-install zipfile (works in XP).
