Congrats on a great app. I was just wondering if FDM was going to be released in a windows or linux 64bit edition now that windows 64bit is approaching release. I hope so because i really like FDM

AFAIK most 32Bit applications should run under WinXP 64Bit

That's not the point. Native 64bit is wanted.
Why don't we run 16bit apps, many run on 32bit windows?

I use FDM on Win XP x64...it works fine.
I agree a native x64 version would be great, but there is so little native sw that it doesn't really bother me.
I don't think there are any native x64 managers. but they're coming...

whats the point to have 64 bit?fdm is not a performance demanding software.and 64bit has nothing to offer new for fdm.you guys go and learn where 64bit is needed.like photoshop,3ds max etc.

marshaling is always expensive. no need to argue.

Hi,
Using Internet Explorer 64-bit is much more safer that using it's 32-bit version... And it is also faster.
I always try to use IE 64-bit. Due tue FDM's lack of compatibility I have to keep the IE 32-bit also opened so that I can use FDM...
So, recompiling for 64-bit is almost a must. And it must be easy...
Se, for example, 7-zip.
Thanks.
Furia.
