GRAMMAR AND TRANSLATION ERRORS IN SITE

I was reading the first page of Library:

... and realize there was a mistake with a word, I mean not in the description of a program, but in the menu item:

Marcado y Herramientas de Conección

The word Conección does not exist in Spanish, the right one is Conexión. So it should be:

Marcado y Herramientas de Conexión

So I taught it would be a good idea to have this topic open in the forum in order to write down the mistakes of grammar or wrong translation we find in the Software Library in order to help s to correct them.

This is important because in the translations we are trying to make them better, writing accents, punctuation and so on, but the first thing people see is the interface of the library. Well, just in case you find a error it would be good to write it here. Also I would like to know what do yo think about this? I mean other translators and ?

Interesting. Well, while the server is being updated, I\'ll add a few errors I found myself.

In Audio y Video:

Burners de CD should be Quemadores de CD.
Desfragmentadores y Conversores should be Defragmentadores y Conversores.
Discurso should be Habla

In Negocios:

Math y Herramientas Científicas should be Matemáticas y Herramientas Científicas

In Comunicaciones:

All references to e-mail and email should really be written correo electrónico or cibercorreo

In Diseño y Fotografía:

Conversores y Optimizadotes should be Conversores y Optimizadores

There are others I have no time to post right now, but other people have probably spotted them already, such as the arbitrary use of the hyphen (-).

For instance, in Seguridad y Privacidad:

Herramientas Anti-Espionaje y Anti-Spam should be Herramientas Antiespionaje y Antispam
Herramientas Anti-virus should be Herramientas Antivirus

I agree with those errors found by fautsch. Also there are some words in descriptions that can be corrected sitewide by , I mean for example:

click = clic

(http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click)

And some others that we can use as a standard, for example in English:

interface

In Spanish could be translated as interfaz or interfase, but it would be nice to have a standard, for example all interface in English could be interfaz in Spanish.

For this could be easier, to apply a sitewide replacement of

click = clic
interface or interfase = interfaz

Well, just an idea. I hope the server update solves the slow loading times.

Interface in Spanish is definitively "interfaz", "interfase" has other meaning IMHO

The translations of the software library are automatic ones, so they do contain a lot of mistakes. That's why don't pay too much attention to them. As soon as you are finished with the translations of program descriptions, the Spanish version of the software library will be updated and will contain no mistakes, we hope.
