I am still unable to use FDM as automatic manager for Google Chrome.
Any body can advise any ideas?

This feature hasn't been added yet, but that could be because Chrome doesn't add-ons or plugins at the moment. The Chrome 2.0 is supposed to have for extra stuff, so maybe we can expect FDM to it then.

Till then, enable monitoring of clipboard (right click tray icon - clipboard monitoring) and just right click and copy links from Chrome (or any other browser) to the clipboard for FDM to pick them up...
