This is specially interesting for Firefox s, since FF 3.6 will be discontinued in four days!

see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_3.6

All other FDM compatible versions are already discontinued and it is only possible to use FF 10 upwards from this point of time. It would be nice to have a stable FDM version then ...

I'm reading from your expressions, that it is a negativ thing, if FF3.6 is discontinued.
I have a different point of view. Maybe FF3.6 is now fully developed and fully operational
and there is absolutely nothing they could improve, that would be of great benefit for the .
I am waiting now 4 more days and then I install the latest FF3.6.29 and from that day
on I never ever have to upgrade or update FF ever again. I don't even have to think about it.
For me, thats the best thing that can happen.
Only when I buy my next computer (approximately 5 years from now) I'll install the newest
FF-software again.

And - the development of FDM should not be linked too close to other software.
But I'm almost sure, also future FDM releases are compatibel to FF3.6.29
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
But thats only my humble opinion. (IMHO)

There is a severe problem with the background pixels to be rewritten,
when you try to move the D/L window.

https://rapidshare.com/files/4232543634/Clipboard01_FDM.jpg

AFAIK (as far as I know) this is not new to FDM3.9.
It existed already in earlier versions.
This is independent of OS versions, since it happens with XP and Win7.

Did nobody ever move the D/L window?

@ Usher, Victoria Nelson, vaneo, Alex
Hi guys great job :)
especially for the portable version
but you guys are making me use windows(no linux :( )

The new bit-torrent module has a bug
Sometimes i have to some files urgently
so i disable seeding for sometime(until that imp file is done)
but FDM doe-snot follow it & keeps seeding(ing)

Magnet links are not ed

FF extension can be available in install folder as a compressed xpi
(so i can use it in a portable version which is used on diff laptops)?
It can manually install it but that's not very easy(fdm is in a usb with changing drive letters & portable FF)

& keep up the good work &

You definitively must be joking? Right???

Or, are you a computer newbie??

Software is never finished! Specially with all the threads outside: Viruses, Trojan horses ....

When FF3.6 is discontinued, it means in essence, that possible threads will not be eliminated any more. Fixes that prevent malicious software to attack your browser and your computer will not applied any more, because the developers of FF want to work on different versions.

So, I think I am wasting my time here. Shortly I will change my FF and if FDM is not working for it, I will drop the thing!

And you, Scooby, when you where not joking, you will see what happens ....

I have no problems with Firefox and FDM, no matter what version with this FF add-on

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... r/?src=api

This will enable the FDM add on.
